The Letter
The first signs were written in the house of origin. The Sovereign “I”dentity™ was born there. The poem of the “I” came through there in the spring, in the study of self and identity, and was recognized before I had fully recognized what was happening myself.
THE EMANATION came through there too.
It was also the house of abandonment, of severance, of the moment my former life broke apart and another man entered the story where I once stood.
And now, on the threshold of relinquishing that house, I wrote What Was Never Lost from within the place that held the wound, the study, the birth, and the storm.
The architecture did not come from escape. It came from remaining long enough in the place of rupture for something indestructible to reveal itself.
